About
Hand Fire Pizza opened its doors in 2017 to great fanfare. This casual, family-oriented restaurant serves wood fired pizzas, utilizing organic and locally sourced ingredients. The new restaurant is located in the historic Teton Theater, just north of Town Square and the ownership team undertook a massive restoration project to retain and repurpose much of the original structure, including its iconic marquee.

Challenge
Hand Fire Pizza is located in the historic Teton Theater, just north of Jackson’s Town Square. The ownership team undertook a massive restoration project to retain and repurpose much of the original structure, including its well-loved marquee.

They had decided the restaurant would serve organic, fresh, handmade wood-fired pizza and the client contacted Creative Curiosity to develop the brand, including logo design, icons, and visual identity guidelines that would empower them to create ongoing marketing collateral in-house.

Solution
We kicked off the discovery with a design brief to understand the client’s needs, and discussed the work that had begun with a previous design partner. Because Hand Fire Pizza is made by hand, Creative Curiosity concepted creative directions using traditional media including sketching and drawing.

Branding & Print Collateral

About
The look and feel of the brand is grounded in research and strategically aligned with business objectives. The final logo, typeface, custom designed mark, and branded emojis are the result of a highly collaborative process between Creative Curiosity and the client. By working together, we were able to nail down the details - like the swash on the R - that ultimately ensures the brand reflects the client’s vision.
The Visual Identity Guidelines create a solid foundation for ongoing in-house brand management. Defining a flexible color palette, standard brand fonts, and various logo lock-ups, gives Hand Fire the tools to carry the brand consistently into the future with branded merchandise, print, and digital materials.


Signage

The project continued with exterior signage creative development. Creative Curiosity worked with the client's preferred sign maker to
successfully execute the vision of a metal, hand cut sign, and ensured the sign met town regulations, all while tracking the budget.
